A pyramid of pudgy Disney characters is floating in a Tainan harbor, drawing quite the crowd. The attraction comes just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival long weekend.
Taiwan’s Disney fans rejoice! A new installation featuring classic Disney characters has appeared in Tainan’s Anping Fisherman’s Wharf. It will debut on September 9, just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival!

The round, plump Disney characters are stacked ontop of each other in a pyramid shape. The float includes Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and others. At night the display will be lit up, which is sure to draw heaps of attention.
The installation is called “Mickey and his friends chill around Tainan.” With additional characters scattered around the area, organizers want visitors to take pictures until they drop!
Tainan City tourism official Kuo Chen-hui says this display is Taiwan’s only Disney-themed art installation.
