National Security Council (NSC) Secretary-General King Pu-tsung is stepping down for health reasons. The Presidential Office said Friday that President Ma Ying-jeou has approved King’s resignation.
King will be replaced by former Defense Minister Kao Hua-chu, who will take office on Feb. 12.
Meanwhile, Presidential Office Secretary-General Timothy Yang has also resigned from his post. The vacancy will be filled by former Legislature Vice President Tseng Yung-chuan.
