Tomorrow, October 13, Taiwan is set to lift its quarantine restrictions for inbound arrivals. Now, after nearly three years of border controls, people in Taiwan can finally scratch that travel itch. Travel agencies have now revealed which destinations Taiwan's travelers have been asking about the most.
Paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. This isn’t some bureaucratic nightmare. This is Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs. People are lined up here to apply for a valid passport. Tomorrow is an important day for Taiwan because quarantine for inbound arrivals will be scrapped, making international travel much more convenient.
This man says he wants to travel around Asia, while another man says he’s had his eye on Athens. But, where else do Taiwanese people want to go now that international travel is viable again?
Travel agencies report that, in Asia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam are the most popular right now. Outside of Asia, the UK, the US, France and Australia are also preferred places.
Currently, November and January are the busiest times to travel. The high demand has caused a spike in airfare prices. If you’re looking to save some money and not in too much of a rush, mid-2023 might be a less hectic and cheaper time to fly.
