Indonesian officials welcome further collaboration with Taiwan. That's the word from Indonesian Communication Minister Johnny G. Plate during an interview at the ongoing G20 summit.
Plate says he sees partnership opportunities for Taiwanese companies to invest in Indonesia's technology industries. He says this is because Taiwan is an economic hub and has existing technological infrastructure.
Indonesia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Teuku Faizasyah says the presence of Indonesian students in Taiwan is also helpful for establishing trade relationships. Taiwan's Education Ministry says they provide scholarships for Indonesian students to come to Taiwan, which allows for more cultural and economic exchanges.
