Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) said on Wednesday a possible Cabinet reshuffle depends on future discussions between ministries. Reports indicate the current Cabinet may change in January following major DPP losses in last Saturday's local elections.
Cabinet spokesperson Lo Ping-chen (羅秉成) says the ministries will review and reflect on their policy implementation experience. He says ministers and other agency heads have to sincerely and honestly face the people's expectations. Lo adds a decision on reorganizing the Cabinet will only come after this review process.
Meanwhile, media reports say Interior Minister Hsu Kuo-yung (徐國勇) has already cleaned out his office, sparking rumors that he may resign. Lo says he cannot confirm the reports, but says Premier Su has yet to receive any minister's resignation.
