A sea of clouds has appeared at Sun Moon Lake. As travel restrictions have been lifted, tourists are once again able to travel freely to Taiwan. One of the most popular spots is the Sun Moon Lake where nature meets civilization.

Video script:
As a cold air mass travels down south, temperatures across Taiwan are decreasing. This enables a natural phenomenon often called a "sea of clouds" above Sun Moon Lake. The clouds around the lake interact with the fog above the lake. Sun Moon Lake is in central Taiwan and is the largest body of water in Taiwan.

Sun Moon Lake's unique geographical features allow for this phenomenon to occur. The lake is surrounded by mountain ranges and has a large surface for the clouds and fog to meet.

Meteorologists say the cold air mass causes the clouds to form at a lower altitude, creating the appearance of clouds connecting with the lake. This phenomenon is exclusive to the fall and winter seasons.

Meanwhile, people can also observe the sea of clouds at nearby mountains in Nantou County. This view occurs normally at the crack of dawn, so the early birds are certainly in for a visual treat.
