It also reaffirms Poland’s support for Taiwan’s joining the WHO.
The statement also acknowledges the two countries' collaboration matters of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Taiwan donated 1 million masks to Poland at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, and Poland subsequently assisted Taiwan with 400,000 doses of COVID vaccine. The statement also encourages Taiwan to help Poland in providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Members of the Polish-Taiwanese Parliamentarian Group also say they welcome further official collaboration with Taiwan, including in education and trade.
