Popular Indian political cartoon studio "So Sorry" released an animated video calling for the Indian government to cooperate with Taiwan and sign a free trade agreement on Wednesday. The cartoon focuses on the benefits of an India-Taiwan partnership and praises Taiwan's achievements.
The cartoon follows an Indian plane taking off from New Delhi as it visits some of Taiwan's famous landmarks including Taipei 101 and the Chang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
The pilot tries Taiwan's well-renowned bubble tea and goes on to visit various up-and-coming industries in Taiwan such as the electric vehicle industry.
The cartoon also mentions Taiwan's other international accomplishments. Those include its position as the largest producer of semiconductors in the world and having the second largest output of telecommunications devices.
The pilot then signs a co-operation agreement with Taiwan before returning to India.
The political cartoon channel is under the large Indian media group "India Today" and makes animations which reflect current events. The cartoon hopes to convey the potential benefits of a partnership between both countries and spur the government to develop bilateral relations.
