Taiwan’s 112th New Year's Day flag-raising ceremony will take place on January first in front of the Presidential Palace. Besides government officials, the ceremony will include winners from award-winning marching bands, and sports teams from local high schools.
The presidential office says on Monday this year’s ceremony is organized by Taiwan Lion Clubs International. This year’s theme features Taiwan as a model country in democracy and freedom. Visual designs will also focus on showcasing the resilience of the country.
This year, the ceremony features several award-winning groups including marching bands from top local high schools namely Zongshan Girls High School and Jianguo High School. The event will also feature international award-winning acapella group Voco Novo.
