Peanuts, cookies, candies, microwavable meals, and everything you think you'll need for the Lunar New Year can be found at the 10th annual New Year Market Fair at the Taipei World Trade Center. A total of 115 vendors are represented at the market taking place over the weekend.
As customers soak up all the flavors and aromas at the market, people are also lining up for free samples of seafood, chicken soup, and other bite-sized snacks.
This woman says she likes how everything can be found in one place. Another shopper says, even though the lines can be long, fun lottery games keep the atmosphere festive. She adds that this year the market has many microwaveable food options, which is helpful for those who don't cook during the new year.
To add to the festivities, members of the Beigan Chaotian Temple are also present at the market. To give traditional rituals a modern spin, the temple now has devices for worshippers to cast divination blocks digitally and light worship candles virtually.
With all these food options and fun activities, this Lunar New Year is sure to be one that will fill your stomach and hearts.
