The popularity of tourist destinations often depends on the time of the year. Around this time, visitors are heading to Central Taiwan to enjoy the beloved cherry blossoms. What's special about this farm in Taichung is that the cherry blossoms can be viewed at nighttime. Brendan Wong has the story.

In the blink of an eye, winter chills gave way to spring sunshine and cherry blossoms are now in full bloom. The beautiful flowers signal the beginning of spring.
Cherry blossoms are often photographed in the daylight, but what is special about these flowers is that Wuling farm specifically sets up lights so they can be viewed at night. This is a common practice in Japan where it's called yozakura, or night sakura.
Wuling farm is a recreational farm located in Central Taiwan. It hosts over 20 varieties of cherry trees. With a selfie stick in hand, visitors are capturing the ephemeral beauty of cherry blossoms.
A farm representative says the nighttime cherry blossoms are available to the public between 6pm to 9pm. Based on the blossoming rate, the best time to view these trees will start this weekend.
Another farm just one hour away will have plum blossoms in addition to cherry blossoms. The Fushoushan farm says they will be open to visitors starting next week.
While the cherry blossoms are indeed a beautiful sight, those who are prone to allergies better watch out for pollen as well! Hachooo!
