Taiwan’s night markets have always been a hotspot for foreign tourists to come try out the local food. Some snacks like sausages are welcome to most palates, but other options like stinky tofu may take a while for international visitors to warm to.
According to a recent survey, the most popular Taiwanese food amongst foreigners is soup dumplings. That’s followed by beef noodles, Michelin delicacies, bubble tea, and tropical fruit.
The survey also shows that the most popular souvenir snacks are pineapple cakes, followed by tea leaves, coffee, alcohol, and sun cakes.
Now that Taiwan’s borders have been open to international tourists for several months, the country hopes that more foreigners will come to discover Taiwan’s tasty treats and more.
