Premier Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁) says he hopes to see Eswatini’s continued support for Taiwan’s participation in international organizations. Chen was speaking on Tuesday while receiving the African nation’s Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini.
Chen says he believes Taiwan-Eswatini relations will flourish under Dlamini’s leadership. He says the two sides have had good relations for 55 years. He says he hopes their cooperation in various fields will continue to strengthen in the future.
The two countries have been working together in areas including trade, public health, medical treatment, agriculture, education, and information communication.
Eswatini is one of Taiwan’s 14 diplomatic allies. Dlamini says his country firmly supports Taiwan’s international participation and contributions to the world.
