City leaders from Brazil say they hope to build deeper cooperation with Taiwan, especially in the fields of green energy and smart machinery. The 12 leaders are in Taipei and Kaohsiung to attend the 2023 Smart City Summit and Expo.
Brazil is eager to explore Taiwan’s role as the pioneer of the digital economy and green industry in smart cities. Brazilian city leaders invited close to 40 representatives from chambers of commerce, public associations, and enterprises to attend the summit.
The representatives aim to establish cooperation with Taiwan’s leading tech industries at the expo, which is one of the world’s leading technology events in Taiwan. Members of the Brazilian business delegation say they are especially interested in Taiwan’s 5G AIoT development, electric vehicles, smart machinery, agriculture, and health care.
