Following South Korean girl group Blackpink’s concert in Kaohsiung earlier this month, the city is hosting more concerts this week.

Mayday! Mayday!
No- I am not referring to the radio distress signal. I am talking about the famous Taiwanese band Mayday, or 五月天, and their upcoming concert in southern Taiwan.
Kaohsiung city is hosting several major artists’ concerts this week, and people are traveling down south to catch these live music performances.
Ahead of the concerts, Kaohsiung’s transportation authorities say they prepared shuttle buses to help with crowd control. Taiwan Railways is also increasing services for concert-purposes.
The “Queen of Mandopop” A-Mei is performing, and, to get fans excited, she recorded an announcement that can be heard at the metro station.
The Megaport Festival, an annual rock festival, is also taking place this weekend. The festival will feature a variety of singers and bands.
One man says he’s watching back-to-back concerts. Some fans say they are prepared to exchange homemade merchandise with other fans at the concerts.
Regardless of where concert-goers find themselves, Kaohsiung is most certainly going to be filled with music this week.
