The largest ship currently in Asia was welcomed with fanfare at the Port of Keelung in northern Taiwan on Thursday.
The MSC Bellissima is the largest cruise ship ever received at Keelung Port by tonnage. According to MSC’s official information, the Belissima has a maximum capacity of 5,655 passengers, a total registered tonnage of 171,598 tons, a total length of 315 meters, a height of 65 meters, and a total of 2,217 cabins.
The cruise ship is also equipped with a wide range of indoor and outdoor entertainment facilities, including the 985-seat theater, a water park with three waterslides, bowling lanes, a Formula One driving simulator, an interactive cinema, and an indoor sports hall.
The Bellissima is expected to enter the Taiwan vacation market in 2024 and will feature a number of itineraries between Keelung and the Okinawa Islands in Japan.
