The National Chamber of Commerce and the Korea International Trade Association have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on tourism, health, and food. The signing took place on Tuesday in Taipei.

Taiwan’s General Chamber of Commerce Chairman Paul Hsu (許舒博) says the two sides will hold annual meetings, starting with exchanges in the food, tourism, health and medical, beauty and cosmetic, and gaming industries.

Korea Trade Association Vice President Jeong Marn-ki says Taiwan and Korea have similar industrial structures, especially in semiconductor development. He says despite the competition, there is also a lot of room for cooperation between the two sides in areas like solar, wind, and hydrogen energy.

Hsu says both sides hope the memorandum will accelerate the bilateral export of business services and build industrial ties. He adds that both countries’ networks and resources will help introduce domestic products and services to new markets and expand their business scales.
