We have received postcards from over 40 countries and regions around the world since the Dear Rti Postcard Collection kicked off this May! Many writers followed this year’s theme and expressed their hope for world peace. Some are wishing for the warfare in Ukraine to come to an end. “Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava! (Glory to Ukraine and glory to the heroes!) I wish Ukraine peace and victory!”
In addition to the messages from our listeners abroad, new immigrants and migrant workers living in Taiwan also joined the celebration for world peace.
Many listeners have shown creativity on their hand painted postcards with patterns that symbolize peace.
The collection drive is accepting postcards from now until July 18. People around the world are invited to speak up about their wishes for peace. The messages should be written in one of the 19 languages represented by Rti’s radio services. Every qualifying participant will receive Rti’s limited edition 95th anniversary postcard and the chance to win other exclusive gifts!
The collection will be shown during the Rti gala dinner in mid-September.
