Several artist groups called for actions and more precise rules to ensure the execution of legal processes regarding gender-related cases. The Taipei Art Creator Trade Union (台北市藝術創作者同業工會) and legislator Claire Wang (王婉瑜) jointly held a press conference on Tuesday.

They requested the cultural ministry take actions to carry out necessary legal procedures, provide mental health support services to victims, and organize a regular committee to investigate sexual harassment cases. They added that the government must handle public resources with care.

The cultural ministry announced on Monday that it has examined over 130 subsidizing guidelines and made amendments to prevent gender-related disputes. If grant recipients violate gender equality and labor laws, the subsidy will either be revoked or terminated depending on the severity of each case. The cultural ministry declared zero tolerance policy to any sexual harassment and discrimination cases.
