U.S. State Department official Mira K. Resnick is scheduled to deliver a closed-door speech at the U.S.-Taiwan Defense Industry Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia. This marks the second year that the State Department has sent an official to the conference. U.S. Defense official Jedidiah P. Royal will also provide remarks at the conference.
President of the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council Rupert Hammond-Chambers says Taiwan’s security in the face of China’s increasing threats will be an important issue at the conference.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hsu Yan-pu (徐衍璞) will be representing Taiwan at the conference. Taiwan’s delegation also includes representatives from the KMT, DPP, and the Taiwan People’s Party (TPP). It is TPP’s first time attending the U.S.-Taiwan Defense Industry Conference.
