The Tainan City Government has issued guidelines to prevent traffic jams for the National Day Gala celebration which will be at the Tainan Air Base on Sunday. Traffic control measures will be in effect from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. near the venue.
The Tainan City Transportation Bureau announced that those who have registered for the event are required to enter the base with organized tour groups. It has arranged free parking and shuttle bus stops at the Chimei Museum Wen Hsien road parking lot.
Transportation Bureau Director-General Wang Ming-te (王銘德) emphasizes that during this 4-day holiday, Tainan will see an influx of tourists or people returning to their hometown, resulting in heavy traffic. He encourages travelers to make use of public transportation systems as much as possible.
