The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) released its latest men's baseball world rankings on Thursday. Puerto Rico moved up two spots to 11th place, while Japan maintained its top ranking and Taiwan remained in fifth place.
WBSC is the world governing committee for baseball, softball, and Baseball5. The rankings are based on a country’s WBSC recognized competition results over the past four years.
The top 12 teams in the rankings at the end of the year will qualify for the upcoming WBSC Premier12, which is scheduled to be held from November 10 to 24 in 2024. Pool B of the competition will be held in Taiwan, with a good chance of being played at the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.
