Taiwan's National Development Council (NDC) Minister Kung Ming-hsin (龔明鑫) says that Taiwan's strong information and communications technology (ICT) industry makes it essential to global supply chain restructuring.
Kung spoke about industrial policies and future trends at the 29th Modern Engineering & Technology Seminar (METS), stating that we are seeing major changes. He says that the current supply chain is becoming more diversified and resilient with an increased focus on national security and key technologies.
Kung further points out that digital transformation is an international trend that must be followed. He adds that due to Taiwan’s advantages in these fields, it will also play a key role, as semiconductors, 5G, and artificial intelligence (AI) are at the core of digital transformation.
