Recently, many department stores have been holding anniversary sales, and consumers have rushed to get their hands on discounts and limited offers. Whether they’re buying liquid foundations, cosmetic bags, makeup remover, or lotion, after spending a certain amount, shoppers can receive brand name notebooks as a gift.
But not everyone has the use for such a gift and some have decided to auction them online. Surprisingly there are plenty of buyers, who are immediately willing to pay around NT$600 (US$18) for these kinds of products.
When asked about the price, one woman says she thinks it's very reasonable as high-quality products aren’t usually cheap. Another woman says the price is much too expensive, simply because it has a brand logo on it. She added that she would probably give it away as a gift if she received it with her purchase.
It’s not only brand name notebooks that are being resold, there are various other small items too, ranging from playing cards to cosmetic bags and jewelry boxes selling for over NT$1000 (US$30).
Some people are willing to pay higher prices for branded items, so in case you get hold of one, you can always consider selling it online.
