President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) welcomed a delegation of United Nations permanent representatives from several diplomatic allies, including Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Belize, and Paraguay at the Presidential Office on Thursday.

In her address, Tsai expressed gratitude for the strong bonds shared with the allied countries and noted that interactions have grown increasingly close in recent years. She added that she is confident that collaboration will continue to develop in the future. Tsai also expressed appreciation for the support received during the United Nations General Assembly debate in September and the Sustainable Development Goals Summit, where diplomatic allies spoke up for Taiwan.

In her speech, Permanent Representative to the United Nations for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Inga Rhonda King, praised Taiwan's governance, innovation, resilience, and determination. She said that Taiwan is a significant contributor to peace, security, and development internationally. King added that she would continue to call for Taiwan’s meaningful participation in the international community.
