Tourists can enjoy a buy two get one free Taiwan High-Speed Rail (HSR) ticket deal for passengers traveling in pairs from Friday until the end of May 2024. The Transportation Ministry Tourism Bureau offer is available for foreigners entering Taiwan on short-term tourist visas.
To encourage travel to central and southern Taiwan, tourists can now purchase one-way high-speed rail tickets through designated channels including KKday or Klook as long as the destination is an HSR station south of Taichung. Applicable stations include Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, and Zuoying.
The Tourism Bureau has also launched more discounts to grow interest in visiting Taiwan. Those who purchase the buy one get one HSR tickets in December will also receive round-trip tickets to Taoyuan Airport for free from anywhere on the island, allowing international passengers more ease of travel. This added bonus can be redeemed at the Taoyuan Airport MRT counter.
