Upgrades to the Air Force's 140 F-16A/B fighter jets to F-16V will be completed by the end of December. Military sources reported that the last flight test was completed on Sunday and the remaining structural modifications are progressing smoothly.
The Air Force’s Feng Zhan Project was allocated approximately NT$140 billion (US$4.5 billion) to upgrade the fighters via American company Lockheed Martin Corp. to the new Viper variation. The last aircraft body adjustments are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
