The ministry, which had been monitoring Chinese activity from 6:30 a.m., said the aircraft was on joint combat readiness patrols being conducted by the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The presence of the aircraft, which included Shenyang J-16 and Chengdu J-10 fighter jets, Xian H-6 bomber planes, Shaanxi Y-8 military transport planes, Harbin BZK-005 and other drones, were noted.
