The Central Election Commission (CEC) organized the second presidential candidate's televised policy presentation at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The speaking order was determined by a draw, with TPP’s Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) speaking first, followed by KMT’s Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜), and finally DPP’s Lai Ching-te (賴清德).
Ko arrived at the venue as the first candidate, dressed in a black suit with a striped tie. He had a "KP" emblem, which stands for his nickname ‘Ko P’ and the national flag pinned to his chest. Hou who was the second candidate to arrive, also wore a black suit with a dark blue striped tie and a national flag emblem on his chest. Lai, the third to arrive, wore a deep blue suit with a purple tie. When asked about their mood, all three candidates similarly waved and greeted the media without giving a verbal response.
After the first event, intense exchanges occurred between the camps regarding Lai's ancestral home in Wanli, Hou's property rental, and Ko’ alleged agricultural land violations.
The third policy presentation will take place on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. and will also be live-streamed on the CEC website.
