Taiwan's Chunghwa Post unveiled its new stamps for the first quarter of 2024 on Thursday, including commemorative Tainan City stamps, and others featuring Mandarin phonetic symbols and postal characters.

In a press release, the Chunghwa Post stated that in honor of Tainan’s 400th anniversary, a souvenir sheet including one stamp each of denominations NT$8 and NT$28 will be released. It says Tainan is recognized as the earliest developed city in Taiwan, serving as a historical, political, economic, and cultural hub.

The Mandarin phonetic symbols series three and four are set to launch on January 26 and March 27 respectively, and aim to enhance children's learning and showcase Taiwan's beauty. Each series includes 10 stamps valued at NT$6, combining phonetic symbols with maps and local features.

Additionally, on March 20, the postal character stamps will be released, marking the 10th anniversary of their introduction. The set of four stamps will range from NT$8 to NT$28.
