As the countdown to the 2024 presidential election intensifies, political parties in Taiwan are ramping up their campaign efforts with a variety of activities.

Video script:

In a press conference, the DPP Spokesperson, Chen Shi-kai (陳世凱), revealed that the party aims to station itself at over a thousand intersections across Taiwan to canvass votes, starting from Wednesday. DPP presidential candidate Lai Ching-te (賴清德) is expected to stand at the intersection of Nanjing East Road and Dunhua North Road in Taipei at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Apart from intersection campaigns, the DPP has planned 21 rallies and concurrent campaign bus tours. Lai will travel from Pingtung to the north, while vice-presidential candidate Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) will move from New Taipei to the south, employing a coordinated strategy.

The KMT, led by presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜), held a campaign event at a busy intersection in Banqiao, accompanied by legislative candidates Lin Kuo-chun (林國春) and Yeh Yuan-chih (葉元之). They plan to conduct synchronized campaigning at over 1,100 intersections nationwide, featuring key figures like KMT Chairman Eric Chu (朱立倫), former president Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) and Taipei City Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安).

Lastly, the TPP’s Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) and Cynthia Wu (吳欣盈) initiated a nationwide bus tour, interacting with supporters, shaking hands, and taking photos along the way. The strategic tour, starting from New Taipei's Xinzhuang district for Ko and from Kaohsiung for Wu, signals the parties' full-fledged efforts in the final stretch of the election campaign.
