Despite the recent cold wave affecting Taiwan since late Monday, some people are still finding joy in the extremely low temperatures.

Mountains normally verdant green have now turned white and despite the early morning, you can see excited people running around in the snow.
From adults and children having snowball fights to kids making snow angels, people are enjoying their time exploring the snow brought about by the latest cold wave.
The reporter shows how thick the layer of snow is at the Taiping Mountain visitor’s center since one can’t even see the wooden planks beneath the snow when walking around.
Another reporter says that it started to snow heavily at 4 a.m. at Lala Mountain in Taoyuan and one can see tourists making snowmen despite the early hour.
With numerous tourists heading up the mountains for their chance to see snow, many cars had to be stopped as snow chains were not fitted on their tires.
With cold temperatures expected to remain until early Wednesday morning, police reminded the public to stay safe and to put snow chains on their tires when traveling up the mountains.
