The snow may have stopped falling on Hehuanshan, but the glistening snow-covered terrain is still drawing in visitors before the big thaw.

Video script:

The snow has stopped falling in Wuling on Hehuanshan, but the ground is still coated in a magical white blanket, glistening under the clear sunny skies. The stunning panorama has attracted a surge of visitors eager to witness the picturesque scene before the snow begins to thaw.

Despite the frigid temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius, visitors eagerly played in the snow and had snowball fights, others even took off their outer layers to embrace the cold and relish the unique experience. One visitor says how lucky she is to be able to bring her child to experience the snowy scene.

The freezing temperatures also led to the formation of stunning ice pillars and icicles along the mountain streams.

Meanwhile, at an elevation of 3,844 meters, the Yushan Weather Station, Taiwan's highest building, was transformed into a silver-white world. Staff members climbed the observation tower early in the morning, armed with hot water, to defrost the meteorological instruments, and clear accumulated snow from rooftop solar panels.

With less moisture in the air, and snowfall coming to an end, these beautiful scenes are bound to slowly start defrosting, in the meantime though, there are still snowmany reasons to come enjoy the chilly weather.
