The flower season has officially begun and groups of people rise early to visit Lane 42 of Pingjing Street in Taipei’s Shihlin District to catch a glimpse of the earliest blooming cherry blossoms.
One lady says she woke up at seven o'clock and decided to come here with her husband to take photos of the blooming sensation. Another lady expressed admiration for the beauty of the cherry blossoms.
Crowds of people immersed in a dreamy pink world underneath a Yoshino Cherry take multiple pictures with selfie sticks, trying to find the right angle to get the perfect shot.
Residents also shared hidden gems saying that starting from Monday, Pingjing Street Lane 95 will also have a row of cherry blossoms in full bloom for a couple of days.
However, people are reminded that the Yangmingshan’s flower season will also bring certain traffic management measures. Starting from February 7 until mid-March, between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., only small cars and trucks with passes can go up the mountain.
When going up the mountain to enjoy this blooming spectacle, make sure to check relevant traffic information beforehand to avoid missing out on enjoying the scenery.
