President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) together with Vice President and President-elect Lai Ching-te (賴清德) and Secretary-General to the President Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) visited various bureaus within the Presidential Office on Thursday morning. The purpose of their tour was to give Lunar New Year greetings to employees and express gratitude for their hard work.
Thursday marks the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday as well as the President’s last opportunity to convey her new year sentiments during her eight-year term.
The Presidential Office staff were well-prepared for the occasion, displaying spring couplets and new year decorations. The Chunghwa Post office at the Presidential Office gifted President Tsai and Vice President Lai with Year of the Dragon-themed stamps, symbolizing auspicious blessings for the upcoming year.
The day offered a rare opportunity for the colleagues and people who were visiting to take pictures with the president and vice president, furthering an atmosphere of relaxation and joy within the workplace.
