Taichung MRT Corporation announced that the 39 free charging stations at all 18 stops on the Taichung MRT have been upgraded to support both Type A and Type C starting from Friday.
In the press release, the Taichung MRT Corporation stated that city government efforts have been driving up metro traffic volume which has also increased the demand for portable electronic device charging. The Taichung MRT’s first route, the Green Line, began operation in April 2021 with two 110V and four USB Type-A charging ports installed at each station for passengers to charge their mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic products.
Taichung MRT says that passengers in need can bring charging cables or docks to enjoy this convenient service.
