Taiwan's marathon ultra-runner, Tommy Chen (陳彥博), achieved an impressive second-place finish in the Montane Lapland Arctic Ultra 500 km race on Saturday, Sweden local time. This grueling race spans 10 days and is set to conclude on Wednesday. Chen remarkably completed the course in less than 6 days, proudly waving Taiwan's national flag as he crossed the finish line.

The competition features elite ultra-runners from Germany, France, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, Canada, and the U.S. Participants face extreme challenges including sub-zero temperatures, fierce winds, darkness, and treacherous glacier landscapes, pushing the boundaries of their physical and mental endurance.
