A drop in temperatures brought an icy pleasure to the visitors of Wuling Farm.

Plum and cherry blossoms were literally frozen in time in the gardens of Wuling Farm. One can see entire flowers, including its white petals, stamens, and branches, all wrapped in a layer of sparkling ice.
Even the wire mesh was covered in ice, resembling an icy dream-catcher. Despite the cold, visitors were thrilled to witness the frozen world and found the beauty of the ice crystals very stunning.
Wuling Farm, influenced by a “radiational cooling” in the morning, experienced a rapid temperature drop to -0.6 degrees Celsius, creating icicles in the pergolas at the wisteria garden, forming a large expanse of crystal curtains. However, one could see the icicles begin to melt bit by bit under the warm sunlight.
Wuling Farm's Deputy Director Chang Fang-chi (常方麒) said that in order to prevent pipe freezing, the irrigation system was turned on the previous night. This, combined with the temperature drop, brought about the existence of a wonderful “ice crystal garden.”
