Nearly NT$33 million (approximately US$1 million) has been raised in less than 24 hours through the new Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief opened under the jurisdiction of the Health and Welfare Ministry. The program accepts public donations through LINE Pay, China Trust Commercial (CTBC) Bank, Union Bank of Taiwan, Fubon Bank, Taishin Bank, and some convenience stores to aid in earthquake relief efforts.
