Premier Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁) expresses his support for President-elect Lai Ching-te's (賴清德) choices to fill his new Cabinet as media reports suggesting that former Cabinet Secretary-General Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) and former Culture Minister Cheng Li-chun (鄭麗君) will be appointed as premier and deputy premier.

According to Chen, Lai has consulted with various parties and he is confident that Lai will form an excellent Cabinet to continue serving the nation and strengthen Taiwan's international standing.

Addressing the speculated Cabinet lineup, Premier Chen says that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has actively cultivated political talent over the years, resulting in many capable individuals within the party. He believes that President-elect Lai will have a smooth process in selecting his cabinet members, given their extensive experience in governance.

Premier Chen says that President-elect Lai has his own vision and plans to follow President Tsai Ing-wen's (蔡英文) policy in focusing on national welfare.
