Digital Minister Audrey Tang (唐鳳) announced the launch of the 3rd Ideathon competition on Friday, inviting citizens of all ages and backgrounds to share their vision and ideas for human-AI collaboration in 2040. Tang, pushing public participation and innovative thinking, described Ideathon as a platform for crowdsourcing ideas on integrating AI into daily life.

Previous events have inspired the development of government-backed AI models and programs, ensuring they align with the public's hopes and local contexts. This year's Ideathon, themed "WeWe Futures: 2040 Extended Intelligence," will accept submissions from individuals and teams until July 15th.

Tang highlighted past contributions to projects like TAIDE (Trustworthy AI Dialogue Engine), a model developed by the National Science and Technology Council, which incorporates public input to ensure AI development remains grounded in societal needs and values.

When asked about her position within the newly announced cabinet reshuffle, Tang emphasized that her future role remains undecided and is up to her superiors to decide. Tang emphasized the ministry's focus on innovative action with initiatives such as Ideathon, disaster relief, and e-signature reforms, which align with ongoing work.
