Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) hosted a banquet for former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti Thursday evening. This is Hoti’s third visit to Taiwan, this time joined by seven other cross-party parliamentarians and prominent businessmen.

Wu mentioned that as both countries share similar ideals, they should cooperate in the future to counter disinformation and prevent issues. Other topics included disaster relief and strengthening the resilience of supply chains. Hoti praised Taiwan’s democracy as well as its economic and trade achievements and said that a large part of his trip includes visits to relevant institutions to promote exchanges between the two countries. He expressed the hope that Kosovo could be a bridge between Taiwan and other countries in the Western Balkans.

Other notable members of the Kosovo delegation include Kosovo-Taiwan parliamentary friendship group co-chair Artan Abarashi, former Deputy Prime Minister Driton Selmanaj, Foreign Affairs Committee member Time Kadrijaj, and other notable Kosovan businessmen.
