The Defense Ministry announced that a total of 21 aircraft had been detected around Taiwan from 6 a.m. on Sunday to 6 a.m. on Monday. Ten of the aircraft entered Taiwan’s southwest and southeast airspace, the closest reaching 44 nautical miles from Cape Eluanbi.
In addition to the aircraft, a total of 15 ships, including 4 coast guard ships, were detected operating around the Taiwan Strait.
The Defense Ministry said the military is equipped with aircraft, naval ships, and coastal defense cruise missiles to closely monitor the situation and respond when necessary.
