Applied Materials Taiwan teams up with nonprofits to deepen semiconductor education and industrial development
Applied Materials Taiwan has teamed up with the National Taiwan Science Education Center and nonprofit organizations to promote science education, aiming to cultivate future talent in the #semiconductor industry.

Applied Materials Taiwan announced in a press conference on Tuesday that it has teamed up with the National Taiwan Science Education Center (NTSEC), Learning in Science (LIS), and Teach for Taiwan (TFT) to promote the Semiconductor Adventurers program. The program will offer science education with the aim of fostering future talent in the semiconductor industry.

The program incorporates curriculum design, museum education, educator training, and industrial cooperation to establish a scientific education platform. It will also invest educational resources in remote areas to lay a solid foundation for semiconductor education nationwide.

Applied Materials Taiwan Country President Erix Yu (余定陸) said the company has offered credit classes to more than 6,000 students over the past 10 years. He added that the semiconductor industry has a great deal of potential in Taiwan, and that his company, along with its long-term partners, aims to popularize scientific knowledge of the field and create a synergistic effect in domestic talent cultivation over the next decade.

NTSEC Director-General Liu Huoo-Chin (劉火欽) said the Semiconductor Pavilion of the Future has been set up in the education center in the East Wing Exhibition Hall. Visitors of all ages will be able to learn about the basic science and most up-to-date technological advancements of the semiconductor industry through various exhibitions and interactive workshops.
