This Thursday, the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters held a press conference to announce the “2024 Yehliu Stone and Light - Visit the Queen at Night” event to be held from June 28 to July 14. This year’s “Yehliu Universe” theme will be complete with eight main light spectacles, a water curtain, a dancing fountain, and two days of performances including drones to create stunning sea, land, and air visuals.
Tourism Administration Secretary General Fang Cheng-kuang (方正光) stated that since its launch in 2018, the “Yehliu Stone and Light - Visit the Queen at Night” brand has become an important international event on Taiwan’s tourism calendar. It was selected by CNN as one of the must-visit Asian destinations in 2023, and has won numerous design awards including a gold medal in the MUSE Design Awards lighting design category.
Fang said he hopes the event will promote the charm and endless surprises of Taiwan’s night activities to international tourists. New Taipei City Tourism Director Yang Tsung-min (楊宗珉) shared that the New Taipei City coastline runs 145 km long and is rich with natural resources. He said he hopes that tourists will experience New Taipei’s coastal scenery and local hot spring delicacies.
The “2024 Yehliu Stone and Light - Visit the Queen at Night” event will take place at the Yehliu Geopark from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for 17 consecutive nights beginning June 28. Early bird tickets are available for pre-order beginning noon on Thursday.
