The Culture Ministry’s Golden Melody Awards (GMA) 2024 awards ceremony and music showcase will take place from June 25 to June 27. The 12-group lineup of foreign and domestic performers for the GMA Showcase Concert was announced Friday. The GMAs are analogous to the Grammy Awards for the Mandarin Pop world, and the GMA Showcase is an opportunity for Taiwanese performers to further promote Taiwan’s pop music.
The lineup for 2024 includes nine Taiwan-based performers and groups: A_Root, Cicada, Haezee, Kivi, LÜCY, Mandark, Lilium, The Wanted, and The Crane. They are also joined by three international performers in conjunction with the Golden Melodies International Music Festival Strategic Alliance Group. The international artists are Thai band ASIA7, Korean singer HANRORO, and the Thai girl group VIIS.
The 2024 GMA Golden Melody International Music Festival will take place at the Corner MAX Exhibition Hall. Concert tickets are available for purchase beginning noon on Friday.
