Nymphia Wind took to social media on Wednesday, inviting people to get creative with video submissions that she plans on incorporating into her upcoming performance in Paris. She encourages people to take part in this “Flew from Taiwan, just say hello!” project by wearing either red, orange, green, blue, purple, or pink and posting stories to Instagram.
Nymphia will be presenting “Formosan Follies” at the Taiwan Pavilion for the 2024 Paris Cultural Olympiad, a multidisciplinary cultural program that combines arts and sports. Nymphia’s August performance will include drag, lip-syncing, singing, dancing, and theater with the intent to showcase Taiwan’s freedom, diversity, and culture.
Nymphia has highlighted how important she considers the upcoming performance, stating that she has been thinking about how to take advantage of this rare opportunity to leave audiences with a strong impression of Taiwan. Nymphia said she believes the most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is the people, and that a project including public submissions is one way to showcase Taiwanese people.
Those interested in participating can submit their videos by tagging @hausofwin in their Instagram stories or directly messaging the account before June 28.
