The Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Jakarta announced on Tuesday that nine Indonesian students have been selected for the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program. These students will receive full scholarships to pursue their studies in Taiwan, and spend two to four years studying various fields, including agriculture, mechanical engineering, disaster prevention management, and urban governance.
TETO Indonesia Representative John C. Chen (陳忠) pointed out that over 16,000 Indonesian students currently study in Taiwan, making Indonesia the second largest source of foreign students in the nation.
Chen congratulated the students, expressing his hope that they can help bridge and promote bilateral exchanges in the future, whether they stay in Taiwan or return to Indonesia.
