The Foreign Ministry has responded to the Russian government’s recent release of a list of countries, Taiwan included, whose values are hostile to Russia. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry said that Taiwan condemns Russia's aggressive behavior and will continue to work with peace-loving democratic partners to support Ukraine in resisting authoritarianism.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin asserted in a signed federal declaration on Friday that 47 countries and regions use policies to forcefully promote freedoms that are destructive and violate Russia's traditional ideology. Among the Asian countries, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore are also on the list.
In response, the Foreign Ministry underscored that it has been nearly three years since Russia invaded Ukraine, an action that has seriously endangered regional and global stability and security. It said that Taiwan and countries with similar ideals will continue working together to support Ukraine's fight against authoritarianism.
