The president promised support for Taiwan's over one million small and medium-sized enterprises during the AI transition, pledging to establish a strong safety net for those struggling to adapt.

He noted the establishment of quantum technology research centers at the campus, recognizing quantum computing as a crucial next-generation technology that will drive AI applications.
Lai called for collaboration between central and local governments to realize the “AI island” vision and balance development between northern and southern Taiwan. He urged all party members and public officials to work towards achieving a more balanced Taiwan, noting that the benefits of AI and technological advancements should be inclusive and positively impact all citizens.
